KICK-OFF FOR PROJECT: Start of School Year 2007-2008 |
 |
Erden's amazing single-handed Pacific crossing as part of his human-powered circumnavigation is worthy of tremendous support!
Because one of Erden's missions is to educate and inspire learners of all ages, we are seeking those students, young and young-at-heart, to offer support by sending mailed envelopes for our Seawordy Project.
HELP US REACH THE GOAL OF 8,000 ENVELOPES
Our goal is one envelope for every mile he rows so that, in theory, our collective mail will reach from California to Australia! We will forward all mail to him (hard copies to Seattle, WA, USA and digital archive to Australia) so that he will be welcomed upon his arrival. |
|
Suggested topics for letters/notes:
- Tell Erden how you are inspired by his efforts on this trip
- Offer best wishes on the next portion of his circumnavigation route
- Young learners may choose to illustrate a drawing instead of writing.

HOW TO SEND MAIL FOR THIS PROJECT |
TEACHERS!
We challenge your classrooms to participate and follow Erden's progress across the Pacific. If you choose to have your entire class write to Erden, each child's letter will count as "one envelope" to help save on postage. In return for an entire classroom of letters, we will list your location and school name in our list of Supporting Schools (see below).
• FREE DOWNLOADABLE LETTER PAPER FOR YOUNG STUDENTS! •
Friendly Letter - grayscale/plain
Friendly Letter - color/basic
Friendly Letter - color/handwriting
